Bert Stiphany graduated from Delta College with an Associate Degree in Architectural Design and Drafting. He worked for Rycenga Homes in their engineering department for seven years, followed by a position at Hart Builder’s Supply as their Construction Manager and Residential Designer. Bert would go on to operate his own design-build company for nearly three decades. He sold it in 2009 and in 2017 opened a new company, Bert Stiphany Custom Residential Design, LLC. He is a licensed builder, has designed and built unique custom and remodeled homes in Grand Rapids, Grand Haven, Muskegon, Whitehall, Frankfort, and Traverse City. Many of his customers own their primary home in Indianapolis, Chicago, Ohio, Grand Rapids, Detroit, Lansing, and New Jersey, but have fallen in love with the Great Lakes and Western Michigan.
